DevOps Engineer
What's Next AI is an AI agency based in the Netherlands. We're a fast-growing team building AI solutions for businesses. Not talking about AI, but doing it: LLM integrations, AI agents, automation platforms. All in Python.
We're part of a larger group, but operate as our own team. Minimal meetings, maximum output, and you largely decide how you approach your work.
The Role
We're looking for an AI DevOps Engineer who owns the infrastructure that keeps our AI systems running: fast, stable, and ready to scale.
You work closely with our AI engineers to move solutions from development into production. You design the pipelines, set up the environments, and make sure deployments don't become the bottleneck. You're not just maintaining infrastructure: you're building the foundation that makes everything else possible.
What you'll do
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI workloads on GCP and AWS
Set up and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
Collaborate with AI engineers to streamline the path from development to production
Monitor system performance, set up alerting, and respond to incidents
Manage cloud infrastructure: cost optimization, scaling, security hardening
Define and enforce deployment standards across projects
As the team grows: set the DevOps standard and help onboard new engineers into your setup
Who you are
You know that great AI systems fail without solid infrastructure behind them. You're the person who sets up the pipeline before the first model is trained. You're comfortable working closely with AI engineers without needing to be one yourself. In a small team, you don't wait for instructions. You see what needs to happen and you get it done.
What we're specifically looking for:
3-7 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering
Hands-on experience with GCP and/or AWS in production environments
Strong skills in Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform or similar)
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with AI or ML workloads: model serving, GPU instances, vector databases
Strong problem-solving skills and a bias toward automation
Excellent Dutch and strong English
Nice to have:
Experience at a consultancy or agency
Familiarity with LLM deployment patterns and inference optimization
Knowledge of security and compliance requirements in an AI context
What we offer
€4,200 - €6,500 gross per month, plus 8% holiday allowance
32-40 hour work week, your choice
Hybrid working from Rotterdam, minimum 2 days in the office
A team that doesn't just sell AI but builds and uses it daily
A clear growth path: from engineer to the person who defines how we ship across a growing portfolio
